About Valerie

At the age of 15 I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome).   PCOS is a hormonal disorder that causes the ovaries to enlarge with small cysts. Some of the symptoms of PCOS are obesity, infertility, acne and irregular menstrual cycles. Due to this disease I was most likely to suffer from obesity, diabetes and heart disease. In 2013, my endocrinologist warned me I had to lose weight and focus on my health if I wanted to manager the disease and have children in the future.

I spent most of my teenage years and my early twenties with unhealthy eating habits, fab diets, and yo-yo weight. I tried workout videos, group classes and anything other workout activity. I had failed may times at understanding a balance between food and exercise.

In 2014, I decided to study fitness and nutrition at NPTI ( National Personal Training Institute). It was an amazing experience and I wanted to use my knowledge to help others that had struggled like me. In 2015 I got pregnant and my life changed, LOL big surprise right!? So much you’re not told about pregnancy itself, let alone pregnancy, and fitness after pregnancy. The struggle was real!

My heart is set on helping post pregnancy mothers and women in general that have struggled with finding a sustainable and balanced life with cultural, food and exercise. My goal, when I interact with any client, is to educate them to ensure they can continue to apply the principals of proper nutrition and physical activity everyday. I hope to share my experiences and help women change to a lifestyle that works for them.

Three amazing kids later and I feel the best I have ever felt. I want the same for you!
